Grapple Attachment Types: Rotating, Fixed, Orange Peel and Demolition Grapples
Not all grapples do the same job — here's how to pick the right one for your material.
Rotating demolition grapples
Full 360° hydraulic rotation lets one operator sort, stack and load mixed C&D debris in a single pass — the default choice for demolition clean-up and the type USF runs as standard.
Fixed grapples
Simpler and cheaper, but every reposition needs the whole machine to move — fine for straightforward, uniform material handling, a real time cost on mixed debris fields.
Orange peel grapples
Multiple curved tines close around irregular or loose material like scrap metal — better suited to recycling yards and scrap handling than general demolition debris.
What we run and why
Our fleet standardises on rotating demolition grapples on 22–45 ton carriers because they cover the widest range of demolition clean-up work without swapping attachments mid-project.
