Crusher vs Pulverizer: Which Attachment for Which Demolition Task
Two attachments that look similar but do genuinely different jobs on a demolition site.
Pulverizers crush and separate
A pulverizer's jaws crush concrete while separating embedded rebar in the same pass — the standard tool for primary structural demolition where you need both size reduction and clean rebar recovery.
Crushers process for reuse
A crusher (in the secondary sense used on-site) further reduces already-broken concrete into a size fraction usable as backfill or sub-base aggregate — the tool that turns rubble into reusable material, not just smaller rubble.
Often used in sequence
Most of our demolition jobs run a pulverizer for the primary structural take-down, then a crusher pass on the resulting rubble to produce reusable aggregate — two attachments, one continuous workflow.
Rotating heads
Rotating crusher/pulverizer heads let the operator reposition without repositioning the whole machine — worth the option on any job with awkward structural geometry.
